Define
They are misleading news, which provoke a dangerous circle of disinformation and which take advantage of the characteristics of the internet world and the ICTs to proliferate throughout the planet, with the aim of misinformation for their own benefit (to get more visits to my profile, to distract from another focus of attention, to create confusion, etc.).
Identify
- Not checking the information we receive.
- Obtaining information from unofficial sources.
- Having an information overload that makes us more receptive to believing Fake News.
Act
Activity 1: Create a story
Create a story with 3 different versions of itself.
Divide the target audience into 3 different groups and make them believe that the same story is being given to all 3.
Ask them to perform a theatre-like performance of the story they have.
Once it has been performed, there is a moment of debate in which they will comment that it seems that the stories are not the same because of the differences between the theatres of each of the groups.
We will take advantage of this situation to work on the importance of contrasting the information we receive from reliable sources of information, as the stories can change a lot depending on the person telling them (their perception of the story, their interests, etc.).
